Chalk It Up! (2 PM – 5 PM)

Participants of all ages are invited to create their own sidewalk chalk designs. Register anytime during the event from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. A small chalk kit will be provided, though bringing your own supplies is encouraged. Themes for this year include food, agriculture, and cars. Best of Show and awards will be held at 5:15 PM. Must be present to win.

Cinema Under the Stars (Opens at 6:30 PM)

Enjoy a movie under the stars in downtown Wisconsin Rapids. Admission is FREE. Bring your own lawn chairs or spread out a blanket and make a picnic. Popcorn and snacks will be available for purchase. The movie will begin at dusk. Hosted by Sunrise Rotary.

Aqua Skiers Water Ski Show (Pre-Show at 6:30 PM)

Watch the FREE water ski show set to the theme of “Celebrating the History of Professional Water Ski Shows.” This hour-long show is family friendly and will highlight many ways you can move across the water. Music, dancing, barefooting, jumping, pyramids, and the graceful ladies performing ballet and swivel skiing are all part of this event.

McMillan Concert Series – Mambo Surfers (7PM)

The Mambo Surfers are a band based in Milwaukee, WI that performs all original music. Their musical influences range from blues to polkas, punk to reggae, Indian Ragas to Native American and Sufi chants. They call their intricate, energizing music “World Rhythm Jazz Rock.” Come groove to their vibe!

“All Things Cranberry”  (12 PM – 2 PM)

Get ready for theme-filled floats and fun for all! Gather along Grand Avenue for a parade featuring live music and plenty of candy.

  • The parade starts at the SWC YMCA and heads east down Grand Avenue, ending at 9th Street South.

Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department Duck Derby

(After Parade, approximately 2 PM)

Purchase a raffle ticket to “adopt” a rubber duck at Wisconsin Rapids Fire Station #1 or #2.  Watch it swim down the Wisconsin River for a chance to win prizes!  Winners do not need to be present.

  • Ducks will be dropped by firefighters off the Jackson Street bridge and race to the finish line just beyond the Grand Avenue bridge.
