Welcome to the Wisconsin Rapids Area!
The Wisconsin Rapids Area is known as cranberry country, and proud of it! Celebrate our blossoming community and where the berries begin at the annual Cranberry Blossom Festival!
Centrally located a short drive from Chicago, Minneapolis, and all Wisconsin communities, our lakes, and the Wisconsin River add to the beauty of our wooded area. We have abundant outdoor recreation: great golf, miles of trails to bike or hike, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, or fishing. Prefer to watch? Check out Central Wisconsin BMX, or the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, a Northwoods League baseball team. While you are in the area, enjoy the new Witter Park Aquatic Center! Float in the lazy river, or experience more action on the slides and climbing wall.
If you prefer to be indoors, we have creativity everywhere: museums celebrating our heritage, exceptional art and theater, a vibrant music scene, and an award-winning library with programs for any age! Don’t miss local flavor – from freshly brewed coffee and market egg rolls to some of the best farm-to-table meals and supper clubs!
