Stalking the Elusive Wild Cranberry

Join in a rare opportunity for an excursion in pursuit of the “elusive” wild cranberry for anyone with an interest in the aesthetic beauty of the area. Phil Brown and Steve Kipfer will act as guides and provide background information on the native fruit’s history and contributions to local traditions. The trip is open to all ages and will provide photographers and artists time to capture or create images unique to wild marshes. Participants will travel by bus to the Sandhill Wildlife Refuge and a box lunch will be provided. The bus will depart at 10:00 am and return at 2:00 pm to the parking lot of the Johnson Hills Building.
